Parenting After Trauma

Karen was honored to be a featured educator in the 2020 Echo Parenting Conference. Karen discovered healing in the embrace of Christ, inspiring her to share her story without shame. Recognizing the lasting trauma violence can imprint on lives, she established her ministry, Helping Hands Against Domestic Violence, which eventually evolved into the violence prevention program at Helping Hands Resource Center.

Pastor Suria, a dedicated pastor and missionary in Nepal, underwent a profound transformation in his life journey. Once a Hindu and grappling with drug addiction, he faced a period of immense hardship and abuse. However, it was his older brother who extended a compassionate hand and introduced him to the love of Jesus. This encounter marked a pivotal moment that forever changed the course of Pastor Suria's life.
